If you have this kind of issue in Hitfilm Express try using the encoding software Handbrake first on your source file to bring the framerate from a variable to a constant framerate. I tried multiple different formats and players but the issue persisted and the exported file was barely watchable regardless. But after the project was exported it showed horrible stuttering and framerate issues.
During the editing process within Hitfilm everything worked fine and no issues were apparent.
Today I stumbled upon a really annoying issue in Hitfilm Express after the export of my edited video file.
