Besides, for me if the suspension is too stiff, why bother with oil and springs? Just weld those suckers up so they won't move. (Edit: you also have to figure in how much the springs you got will change the fork response).
Not only does the weight of you and your passenger figure in (but probably not as much as you think), but I think a lot of folk misuse air pressure in the front tire to 'stiffen up' the suspension instead letting the suspension do it's job by using a higher weight oil. Fork oil weight is a personal preference.
